On my walk to Jaffa Port this morning, I passed by this rather imposing apartment-like building, the
Ilana Goor Museum, along the Louis Pasteur
Its marker says that Ilana Goor was originally a Tel Aviv hostel which received Jewish pilgrims going to the Holy Land using the Jaffa to Jerusalem route.
In the year 1949, a particular area on the building served as a synagogue for Lybian Jews.
In 1995, it became Ilana Goor Museum.
