Yad La'shiryon - Israel Armored Corps at Latrun

Tuesday was touring day again for us. We decided to see Yad La’shiryon at Latrun.
Yad La’shiryon is the site of the museum of the Armored Corps of Israel, which boasts of some one hundred or armor tanks and war vehicles from Israel and all over the world.

You might think that all of these tanks are part of the Israeli Defense Force, but actually many have just become possession of the Israeli government because of mutual trade with other countries or obtained from previous war encounters.

Anyone would really be at awe with all these imposing AFV vehicles, especially the Merkava tanks. Aside from the museum, Yad La'shiryon also has a synagogue and a memorial for the IDF’s fallen soldiers.
